SRF Reports on Innovative Collaboration at uptownBasel
An innovative solution is set to improve distancing safety on construction sites. The Co-Creation LAB of the uptownBasel campus reacted quickly to the COVID-19 crisis and developed its own product. The prototype will soon be ready for series production.
Co-creation in practice
The Swiss television programme 10vor10 (SRF) visited the campus to report on the project. It shows what co-creation at uptownBasel means: partners from different fields develop a solution together, quickly and for a concrete need on the ground, instead of waiting for a ready-made product on the market.
From crisis response to product
The COVID-19 pandemic made distancing on busy construction sites a daily safety question. The Co-Creation LAB took it on and built a distance-sensing solution of its own. With the prototype nearing series production, the idea is on its way from the lab to the building site.
