We Welcome Bouygues Energies & Services as Our First Tenant
On 26 July 2021, we opened our innovation campus in Arlesheim, with Bouygues Energies & Services as our first tenant. After three years of preparation and two and a half years of construction, we handed over the first building for use.
The first day on the campus
Around 190 employees of Bouygues Energies & Services Schweiz AG moved into Building 1 at the Schoren site. The company offers building technology services, process automation and related services across Switzerland. At uptownBasel it will run its prefabrication production and its regional administration.
A start, not the finish line
The opening marks the start of operations on a site of around 70,000 square metres. In the coming years, 50 to 100 companies are expected to settle here, creating up to 2,500 jobs. Together with the next tenant, VINCI Energies with its brands Axians and Actemium, the first 400 new jobs are being created at uptownBasel in 2021.
With the first building in use, the vision of an international competence center for Industry 4.0 has become a place where people work every day.
